The Basic Paediatric Echocardiography (ECHO) is a 2 days face to face course that will be the foundation for your paediatric cardiology career. This course covers all primary applications of paediatric cardiac ultrasound. You will begin your journey learning about the origins of ultrasound and the relevant physics that guide image acquisition. Then you will gain knowledge about all applications of cardiac ultrasound which will help you to diagnose congenital and acquired heart diseases in children.

Next course is face to face on 28th February & 1st  March 2026 (Saturday & Sunday).

Each day you will have morning half lectures delivered by consultants with huge expertise in paediatric cardiology and echocardiogram. The second half of the day you will have hands-on experience doing practice on healthy children volunteers and cardiac cases with congenital heart conditions.

• Adult Congenital Heart Disease Trainees

• Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Physicians

• Cardiac Ultra-sonographers

• Participants will familiarize with the relevant cardiac morphology.

• Participants will learn the different echo windows and views.

• Participants will achieve an understanding of the physics around good echo imaging.

• Participants will understand the echo imaging of different heart defects.

• Participants will perform supervised ECHO on babies and children.

• Participants will be able to recognize a range of abnormal ECHOs.

Course Fee: £500 for 2 days

£250 for 1 day (If anyone wish to join partly)
